Wee Macs which is a diner in Burnopfield just outside the Hobson Industrial Estate, is looking for a couple of part time assistants some time in the near future. The vacancies will be approximately 17 hours per week.
The duties are as follows;

Parkhead Station Tearooms and B&B, near Blanchland, Stanhope way, just on the C2C cycle route are looking for possibly Two Part Timers to help out in various areas of the business but mainly;

Meeting and greeting customers
·
Serving teas and coffees/light snacks
·
Checking people in to their rooms
·
Working in the restaurant when that is up and running
·
Generally helping out where necessary
If someone has other skills that might be useful for example admin or bookkeeping then these could also be utilised within the role.
The owners are very hands on and will be providing ongoing mentoring throughout, they invest heavily in training for their staff.
It's a family run business and appears very homely, the customers I'm told are no bother, very undemanding so there isn't the stress that might come with working in other areas of hospitality.
It's a lovely place in beautiful settings, and would be a really nice place to work.
Although it's only a 10 minute drive from Consett, it's remoteness would mean that any candidates would need to have a car or a reliable lift.

The working hours can be negotiable but a degree of flexibility is needed and weekend shifts would be an expectation, however no shift would be over 6 hrs and would not be any later than

An informal interview at the premises is likely, where I'm sure candidates would be romanced by the surroundings and cosy atmosphere. The employer would also consider work trials for the right person.
