We can help you find work

24 June 2008

Derwentside Employment Team continues to support residents of Derwentside in accessing training and moving into work.

Since starting up in November 2006 the team have helped over 600 local people into sustained employment.

The Team has a number of community drop in sessions throughout Derwentside,  which  provide a local service for those wishing to talk confidentially and receive impartial advice about the possibility of going back to work,.

There are two “Better Life” events scheduled for June and September to showcase the wide range of help and financial support available for Incapacity Benefit claimants and Lone Parents in particular but everyone is welcome.

Our very successful Self Esteem and Confidence workshop will be delivered in June and further dates are scheduled throughout the year.

If you would like to have an informal chat about the help we can offer please feel free to contact our Team on free phone 0808 178 18 98 or drop us an email to employmentteam@derwentside .gov.uk.

You may have a friend or relative who you think might be better off in work but needs help with overcoming some of the barriers to employment, let them know who we are, you may change their life for the better!
